A bonus code is a short string that tells a casino's promotions engine which offer to attach to your account. That is the whole of its function. It does not create value on its own, it does not improve the terms of the promotion sitting behind it, and it does not give you any edge over the house. It is a routing instruction — nothing more. Type the code by hand, check it character by character, and watch the classic ambiguities: capital O against zero, capital I against lowercase l against the digit one. The more expensive problem is placement. If a welcome code belongs in the registration form and you skip it, then try to add it in the cashier after depositing, most operators will tell you the offer can no longer be applied to that deposit. Why a Code Fails Silently

Check the code is current, check it is valid for your country and payment method, and enter it in the place the operator specifies rather than the place that looks convenient.
